Allied Health Information Session
Description
Welcome to the Allied Health (short-term/non-credit) Continuing Education Information Session.
Please have a pen/pencil and paper to take notes. Also, review the "notes" on the menu for information you will need before you can register.
Program Prerequisites and Requirements
(These items are not covered in the course fee)
Before you can register for Central Sterile Processing, Intro to Cardiovascular Tech, Patient Care Tech, or Phlebotomy, you must have the following items:
- Proof of high school diploma or high school equivalency
- Proof of the following immunizations due at the time of registration: (two doses or positive titer MMR, Varicella; T/dap; Hep B series; Influenza/Flu (exempt for summer term only); and TB (annual TB test). Bring hard copies of the date(s) shots were given.
- Scrub color varies for each program (tops and bottoms) and puncture-resistant, closed-toe shoes or sneakers.
- Criminal background check and drug screening tests will be administered by Castle Branch. Do not do this on your own. Information will be provided at orientation once a student registers for a class.
- Platinum Planner software fee (The fee varies with each program).
- CPR certification - only the American Heart Association Basic Life Support is accepted.
- Proof of medical health insurance ( You must make a copy of your insurance card).Textbook(s) are not included in the registration fees.
The above information is not applicable for Medical Administrative Assistant. There is no clinical with this program, so no immunizations, CPR, or medical insurance information is needed.

Note: FAFSA cannot pay for non-credit courses.
